MG 49 - S40 Oxygen Sensor Replacement
In this episode I replace an auction sensor on my 2001 Volvo S40. I discovered the problem when I started getting a check engine light, I pulled the codes with an OBD-II reader and the code it found was P0130 after some googling that pointed me in the direction of the oxygen sensor.

e36 BMW Camshaft position sensor replacement inline six
Camshaft position sensor replacement. It controls the vanos solenoid. When this part fails you will feel jumping in your pickup. This part is fairly simple to replace. You will need to remove the Vanos solenoid; A large wrench or channel locks should do the trick. Unplug it, remove it along with the pcv hose. Then remove the oil fiter cap and oil hose bolt. Be careful not to lose the washer. Then remove the screw holding in the camshaft position sensor. I used a t30 socket. But it was fastened with an Allen screw 5mm. The plug for the sensor is in the under the middle of the manifold hanging there loosely by where the pcv valve assembly is. To assemble reverse what you did. Should take about 20 minutes to an hour depending on your experience. If this part was faulty you will feel an immediate difference in pick up. Especially on the low end torque. I no longer need to dump my clutch to do massive burn outs. Thats it the difference i felt. All the work done on my car cost me very little. But the result is better than some who have spent thousands to get half what I have making my own parts. For instance the motor mounts are to soft to do anything crazy, so I used a deep well socket and some sway bar bushings and a long nut and bolt with washers to replace the soft mounts after I had broken some expensive mounts. I decide metal it the only thing that can handle the torque. Vibration and noise has increased as a side effect of this. I probably will never do a vid on this.

Steam powered hoist (Jensen 75)
Quite an amazing feat for an engine with only 1/10th of a horsepower. With the help of the line shaft and an antique knife sharpener, I was able to obtain a 112:1 gear ratio. That means the flywheel of the steam engine turns 112 times while the drum attached to the knife sharpener turns one revolution. The "drum is made out of a screw in plug for an oxygen sensor port on a Harley exhaust. It had an allen socket that I put in a mill and milled out a nice flat surface for the screw to seat on. I then drilled a hole through it for the screw. It worked out nice, because it already had threads on it, that the string could get some grip on. The knife sharpener was bought at a flea market, at ,of all places, a steam engine and antique tractor show. My lovely wife picked it up figuring I could use it somehow, with my Jensen. It was missing half of the sharpening wheel, and was froze up solid. Some penetrating oil, a coat of paint, and a few modifications later I made it into a hoist. It is a very interesting piece, a handle attached to the same spot as the "drum" is now. You turned the handle and it spun two stones to sharpen knives etc. The gear ratio woked the opposite way that I am using it now. Perhaps in the future, I will utilize it using the gear ratio the other way around. The Jensen 75 lifted this weight very easily. As the "drum" is only held on by a 6-32 screw, I thought perhaps that would be a weak point, as well as the nylon kite string, but it all held! Thank you for ...

DIY 1999 Ford Taurus Duratec 3.0 Repairs...Finally!
OK, Finally tuned up the Taurus. As I stated in my earlier video, the car has run on the original wires, plugs, fuel filter, trans filter, etc up to 182000+ miles! It started hesitating last week when if got a little warmer outside. Well, it was time for a complete tune up. The trans had also been shifting funny, kind of hunting around for gears, in and out of overdrive and stuff like that. I started out by checking out what transmission it had and also my plan of attack for getting the rear three spark plugs out. There is just no room even for my hand not to mention a wrench or socket! I gathered up my parts Friday for $120. This was for 6 Premium Autolite Platinum Plugs, Premium 8mm Wire Set, Tube of Sealing Grease, Transmission Filter and Gasket, 7 Quarts of Transmission Fluid, and a Fuel Filter. I started the job Friday after work. I pulling the plenum off after disconnecting the EGR valve, the air intake boot, and some wires and hoses. 6 small bolts and the intake lifted right off. Once out of the way, I started changing the plugs along the front of the engine and then the rear plugs. I put the old wires back on the plugs to change them later so as not to mix them up. I then changed the wires and transferred the heat collars from the old wires to the new wires. I finished that job in about two hours. That's all I did Friday. Saturday morning I started cleaning the intake runners and plenum. That was a BIG job and took about 4 hours. I used a shop vac, some STP spray ...

How to replace the O2 Sensor
I show you how to replace your O2 Sensor. This is being performed on a 1997 Chevy Tahoe. Automotive oxygen sensors, colloquially known as O2 sensors, make modern electronic fuel injection and emission control possible. They determine if the air fuel ratio exiting a gas-combustion engine is rich (with unburnt fuel vapor) or lean (with excess oxygen).
